PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The New Chapters Nursing Assistant Training Program curriculum is designed to:
Meet the Department of Social and Health Services, Aging and Disabilities Services Administration and the Department of Health Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission agencies requirements and compliance with Federal Codes 42 CFR 483.151-154, RCS 18.88A and WAC 246-84.
Provide learners with an understanding of their vital role on the care team by:
Clearly defining and developing core competencies
Gaining an understanding of patient care settings and other care team members
Equip learners to provide skilled care in a variety of work settings
Promote a “humanistic” perspective that recognizes individual needs and unique care plans for each patient
